RADWELTPOKAL is a first ever event that gives amateurs from 18 to 80+ years of age a chance to test their mettle on a challenging course.
Riders compete on 1 to 3 loops of 40 kilometers. The loop has an elevation gain of 190 meters, max. gradient is 10%. Key points include the dreaded Huberhöhe, a strenuous climb with an elevation gain of 100 meters over only 4 kilometers, and Schwendt, where another short but steep climb awaits the riders.
The JUNIORS CYCLING CUP is designed for girls and boys from 10 to 18 years, and offers various distances for all levels. The top 3 winners of each age group will get award medals. The airport sprint takes place on Tuesday. Riders start 30 seconds apart und will race 1,000 meters against the clock. The award ceremonies take place directly after the event. On Wednesday riders have to cycle 10 or 20 km at the time trail in Erpfendorf. The award ceremonies take place at the medal plaza.
At the WORLD CUP SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIPS riders race 1,000 meters against the clock. The award ceremonies take place directly after the event.
The WORLD CUP HILL CLIMB starts at the base terminal Harschbichl and finishes at the Berghotel Pointenhof, which is 1,000 meters above sea level. The award ceremonies take place also at Pointenhof.
Only riders who hold a licence are allowed to participate on the MASTERS CYCLING CLASSIC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS events, which will take place from Wednesday until Saturday.
The INVIDIVDUAL TIME TRIAL races remain unchanged from 2016. Riders start 30 seconds apart and then race 20 kilometers against the clock. Start and finish of the time trial races are in Erpfendorf, turning point is Lofererberg.
For the fans of classic cycling with the old bikes, VINTAGE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS revives the classic racing bike times.
Awards are presented to the top riders at the Awards Banquet held daily at Kaisersaal. Evening entertainment and events will bring fun for riders and fans of all ages. We are looking forward to welcoming you!
